Hong Kong: Chris Lee, the Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong-based crypto exchange OKEx, has resigned, just as the exchange emerged as the biggest exchange by turnover globally.
Chris Lee in a statement today 14th May said that he quitted his role as the CEO of the exchange due to personal reasons, to “start a new life.” Lee, in another statement released by his spokeswoman, stated that working at OKEx had been the “greatest pleasure and an honour” and that after taking a short break to have time with his family he would come back to the blockchain community. However, Lee didn’t give further details on the reasons why he resigned from office.
According to data from Marketcoinprice.com, within the last 24 hours, OKEx has handled nothing less than $2 bln worth of cryptocurrency transactions, this makes the exchange the most active fee-charging cryptocurrency exchange globally. The exchange has been rising in global ranking within the last few weeks, recently surpassing Binance to become the largest by turnover.
