Ripple Moves up by Double Digits for the Second Time this Week
XRP is on the rise
The price of Ripple has moved up with double digits for the second time this week. XRP which is currently the third most popular digital currency by market capitalization is trading at $0.37 which is its 6-week high. Today the digital currency went up by 13.6% which saw it move from $0.33 to the current $0.37. This rise shows that XRP is currently the best performing digital currency in the top 50 digital currencies and one of the best among the first 100.
This current surge came a few hours after an announcement that RippleNet is now operational in all the six continents. The report also indicated that Ripple in already being used in 40 countries. RippleNet is a network that was developed by Ripple to ease and fasten international payments through financial institutions.
However despite the current rise XRP is still far from its all-time high performance. The altcoin went down from its all-time high achieved in January 2018 which was $3.48 to a new low of $.026. This meant that Ripple had gone down by 87% which was a major disappointment to Ripple investors. Experts have however predicted that the current price rise could be a new beginning of positive news from Ripple.
The general cryptocurrency market has seen a positive movement in the last 24 hours. Bitcoin which is the most popular digital currency has gone up by 1.39% and is currently trading at $6,437.9. On the other hand, Ethereum has also seen a positive shift moving up by 0.85% to trade at $211.21 according to coinmarketcap. In general, all the top ten digital currencies are performing well ADA being the second best performing after XRP. ADA has moved up by 5.79% and is currently trading at $0.07.
The current movement is very encouraging for crypto investors who have seen the market collapse massively since that start of the year.
